Thanks to what unions are calling a ‘landmark deal’ it seems that Royal Mail staff will not be taking strike action this Christmas which will come as a massive relief to both retailers and the public.
The agreed pay deal is worth 9.06% over three years and gives Royal Mail workers a one-off pensionable lump sum of £200 in time for Christmas. It pans out like this… a 3% rise backdated to April this year, another 3% from April next year and 2.8% in 2015-16.
All right for some!
